7500 (2014) is an American supernatural mystery thriller horror moviethat shocked me. Director Takashi Shimizu (Ju-on: The Grudge (2002), The Grudge 2 (2006), Ju-on: The Grudge 2 (2003)) could not have done a better job executing this movie. The storyline was okay but needed more spooks, jump scenes and just needed to be more exciting. The movie contains spooks, creepiness, awesome special effects, great acting, a little suspense and once again, great character build up.

7500 is about flight 7500 departing from Los Angeles airport heading to Tokyo. The director did a great job introducing all the main characters. The plane hits turbulence half way through the flight and businessman Lance Morrell (Rick Kelly - Tail Sting (2001), Final Approach (2007),Stealing You Blind (2000)) complains of not being able to breath after the turbulence ended. The plane also lost connection with the main terminals. He started bleeding from his mouth, and it seem as though he was trying to bite his fingers off. Flight attendant Laura Baxter (Leslie Bibb - The Midnight Meat Train (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), Law Abiding Citizen (2009)) announced if there is any medical person onboard to help Lance. EMT worker Brad Martin (Ryan Kwanten - Home and Away (1988),Summerland (2004), HBO’s True Blood (2008)) and Rick (Jerry Ferrara - Battleship (2012), Lone Survivor (2013), Entourage (2004)) who knows CPR offered to help and tried their best to save Lance’s life. The flight attendants had the help of the pilots to move the body of Lance to the first-class section of the plane. They moved all the first-class passengers to the regular class section. Everything bizarre starts happening after Lance died, and the main characters think it has to do with the mysterious box that Lance brought onto the plane. Upon opening his belongings, they found a creepy doll that the head shakes nonstop without being activated.

I gave this movie a five because it was definitely not what I expected - below my expectations. The ending was so abrupt as though time was running out. The movie made sense at the end, but there could have been more built story to go with it. I will not see this movie again, and it is up to horror fans if they want to see this movie. It is horror based and deals with dead people going missing. It might be a nice watch on a rainy day with nothing else to do or nothing better to watch.
