Season 1 of the supernatural series, based on the novel by Melissa de la Cruz, focuses on Joanna Beauchamp (Julia Ormond) and her two beautiful daughters, Freya (Jenna Dewan Tatum) and Ingrid (Rachel Boston), who live in a secluded seaside town. The unsuspecting sisters soon learn from their mother that they all are actually powerful, immortal witches, and that an ancient enemy who is seeking revenge threatens to destroy their family. The two young women embark on a crash course to learn how tocontrol and use their newfound abilities in order to protect their loved ones, all while keeping their powers a secret from their fellow townspeople and their various romantic interests.
