Story:

This indie feature follows the tradition set by “The ABC’s of Death” and includes four short suspense/horror stories that are loosely interlinked. First story is related to an indignant man who knows that his boss is going to fire some of the dedicated workers and he wants to argue with him on the topic. But nothing works as he planned and things go from bad to worse. The second chunk takes a look at a desperate single father who is out of job for six months and still fails to find work in the competitive market. His daughter is in hospital due to heart issues and he is willing to do anything to arrange better treatment for her. Third story belongs to a girl who manages a helpline for the disgruntled and depressed people. The final segment, Friction, tells the story of an adulterous husband whose wife finds out about his activities. In the start, viewers don’t grasp what works as common element between the four tales but in the end this mystery is resolved.

This is not a horror story in true sense of the term; it rather uses thrill and suspense without any blood or ghosts that overall produces horrifying effect. The whole duration is evenly distributed among all the four chunks that makes each segment nearly twenty minutes long. Script is mostly well written and creates sense of thrilling suspense. Performance has its pits and falls but comparing it with most of the indie movies, it seems way better. All the stories are grounded are based in real life that absorb the viewer’s attention due to touch of realism.
There is grasping thrill at some points while at moments one gets the feeling that writer/director is at a loss for ideas and is simply trying to prolong the script. For example in one of the scenes, a hotline volunteer is shown speaking for several minutes. It should have been curtailed in duration.
The same holds true about performance. Some characters have done a better job while others seems lacking proper training or skills. The unnatural style in dialogue delivery or expressionless faces are too annoying. If we analyze the movie as a whole, we find good points more than the flaws which, in final analysis, makes it a good movie.
