Surreal and certainly creative, this supernatural made-for-cable detective drama is set in an alternate Los Angeles, circa 1948, a corrupt place where it is the norm to cast spells and perform magic. In this world, Harry P. Lovecraft, private eye, is one of the last people who refuses to dabble in the occult. When he is assigned to hunt down a purloined book of spells that contains the recipe for world-destruction, he uses his own honest wit, not mumbo-jumbo.
