Story:
Doug Martin is a young man who loves summers at beach and plans to go columbia for further education. Along with his parents, he is enjoying the summer season at beach, where his close friend Carson keeps telling him secrets about how to entice girls that roam all around in abundance. An investment banker and his hot wife Lena (Isabel Lucas) arrive and settle into a house right in front of his parents.
He is able to secretly watch her which becomes his obsession because of positive signals from the girl. It so happens that banker needs an expert hand to take care of his sailboat and Doug learnt a lot from his grandpa about such things. So after negotiations, he gets a job at the boat which means Doug can have never-ending occasions to see and chat with Lena. His infatuation works and soon both enter into a stormy relationship. Their dreamy palace of romance shatters down when events take an ugly turn and a suspicious death backed by handsome insurance policy throws him back to the world of realities. Police investigation gradually get certain leads that all point to Doug as prime suspect.
Review:
Well this movie is such a wonderful thriller, despite the trite tale of triangle involving a villainous rich fellow with hot wife who becomes involved with a naive young boy and things go ugly. A tale where love, money and greed are so mashed up that, while we wait for the secrets to be revealed and true culprit be nabbed, everything keeps pointing towards the innocent fellow. Performance by all the characters is quite impressive. Romance and crime both make it a spicy as well as thrilling flick. At every step, your heart will be thumping heavily in anticipation for what’s coming up next. Isabel Lucas’ role works as the hub and all the story and every character revolves around it which makes her performance the key to success. I think she has done an excellent job as a spicy, conspiring wife while writer Chris Frisina has put everything to build such an intriguingly charming character. Nick Jonas’s has performed well as a naive teenager who becomes blind after conquering Lena whom he deems different from all the young girls roaming at beach. This movie is worth watching and will be loved by the general audience.
